Sometimes keeping the interior of your car nice seems like a full time job. Despite the fact that there’s a limited amount of room inside your car, it seems like you spend more time hauling stuff out of it and vacuuming it than you do the interior of your house. The reason for this has to do with all the stuff that gets drug into your car. You eat in there, haul your pets around, take your kids to piano lessons and sporting events, use it as a storage space for the your gym bag and tackle box. All of these things can clutter up and make the interior of your car dirty.

You’ll be glad to know that there are some things you can do to keep the interior of your vehicle looking great while also decreasing the number of times you find yourself having to scrub, polish, and vacuum it.

It’s probably comes to your attention that you spend a majority of your time cleaning the floor. There’s two ways you can eliminate this problem. First, knock the sand and mud from the bottoms of your shoes before getting into your car, this takes two seconds and will really cut back on the amount of dirt you track into your car. You should also put down auto floor mats. Cleaning the auto floor mats will be easy; you just slide them from your vehicle, give them a good shake, and replace them. If they get really gross, like your toddler spills ketchup on the auto floor mats, spray them with a garden hose and let them dry in the sun.

Not only will the auto floor mats help you keep the interior of your car cleaner, but you can choose the set that helps you show off your unique taste, making the interior of you automobile look different from everyone else’s.

If you and your dog like to travel together, you should make sure you spread a towel over the seat where your dog likes to sit. It won’t keep the interior of your car from smelling like dog, but it will prevent dog hair from getting ground into the seat. Once a week you can replace the towel with a fresh clean on.
Keep a laundry basket or mid-sized bucket in your garage, near where you park. You can use this basket to help you haul things, such as paperwork, trash, coloring books, and pet toys from your car and into your house. The basket makes it possible for you to get everything out of your vehicle in one trip, reducing the amount of clutter that tends to build up inside of your vehicle, making it appear unkempt.
