For those of us who live in big cities like Chicago, it can be all too easy to let our bodies slide into a state of unfitness; which, if left unattended could well become life threatening. In our youth and young adult days, we did not give much thought to our fitness levels; we sort of assumed that we would stay the same without having to take much action.
Maybe, in later life, we fell for one of those adverts for the latest “do it at home with no effort” fitness gizmos; used it a couple of times and then got bored with it. The same thing happened when we thought it would be trendy to join a gym club.
In other words, the pressures in our working life took over until we suddenly realised that our waistlines have become totally unfashionable and, the other day, when the elevator was broken down, we nearly didn’t make it up 5 flights of stairs.
It’s Never Too Late To Get Fit
It has been said about exercise that there is “no gain without pain” – an element of truth maybe but not really an accurate picture. Excessive pain probably means that you are doing the wrong type of exercise or, possibly, the right type but at the wrong intensity level.
It is your body that you are trying to restore but, that does not necessarily mean that you know best when it comes to what your body needs. Instinctively, you know you need to improve your fitness but do you know where to start and what you should do? Since we are all different and we all have different problems and needs, it would make sense to apply an individually tuned formula to our fitness upgrade program.
Get Personal
Who better to advise us on the best individual solution than our own personal fitness trainer? Fortunately, these people are no longer the sole preserve of the rich and famous; Personal Training In Chicago is readily available and the cost is not astronomic. The trainers not only know all about those somewhat off putting pieces of machinery that are to be found in today’s gyms but they are also dietary experts who can put together a total improvement package based on what we are today and what we wish to become tomorrow.
